- First project of this year. The beginning of a new adventure too. I've created a brand new website which is, in fact, my virtual label : wet-blankets.com . A place where i can put all my productions, without any external filter or bad influences (such as pink spiders, bunch of grapes, bank accounts, revolution number 10 for example).
This project is a minimal electronica-glitch-IDM-ambient album. Inspired by artists such as Fennesz, Alva Noto, Richard Chartier, Pixel, Pan Sonic, Prince, Ravel, Mussorgsky, Dutilleux, Coltrane, Davis... It was recorded in january 2009 in my own studio in Tours (France). As usual, i tried to put some kind of psychoanalytical things. But don't worry, i also tried to put some kitchen instruments to be sure i'm still on Earth. Noises, short circuits, sinusoidal waves, raw sounds are the base of the compositions. I wanted to make some deconstruct moods and monochromatic atmospheres. One of the point i wanted to do was giving a kind of frustration to the audience. A way to humanize this kind of digital music.
There's probably a part of the international crisis in all that work, be sure it is not completly innocent. I really care about political, economical and sociological things. A bit of modern socialism is inside me since a long time. That's also why i want to be free when i create music and want to share it on the web.
